Fire Box, Bio-ethanol Fire Basket

This modern bio-ethanol fire box will bring your wood burning fireplace back to life. An ideal solution if you don't want to burn wood or run a gas line into your fireplace but you are looking for some fire. Natural burning bio-ethanol is the fuel source fuel. Bio-ethanol is made from plants and is non-toxic, smokeless, odorless and environmentally friendly because it is renewable.

Bio-ethanol is clean burning and does not need a working chimney. The Fire Box may be used outdoors if covered and taken in during damp and wet periods.   Includes white or black basalt stones and 4.5 liter stainless steel bio-ethanol burner.

Burn time is 6 hours when full. Burner must be cool before refilling.

What is bio-ethanol?

Bio-ethanol fuel is pure plant derivative made from only the ethyl alcohol and is a non-toxic, smokeless, odorless and environmentally friendly fuel.

Modern Design Living recommends Pure Fuel and e nrg brands. Both brands burns perfectly clean giving off CO2 and steam in similar proportions as that exhaled by humans. Pure Fuels was tested by the U.S. government (TTB) and received a certificate as a safe fireplace fuel for unvented decorative fireplaces acceptable for use in North America. It is made in U.S.A.

Denatured for your safety
To prevent the accidental ingestion of denatured bio ethanol by people or animals, the pure alcohol is "denatured" during the manufacturing process. This generally involves the addition of a bittering agent or taste deterrent which renders the fuel unpalatable.

Safe to store and handle
Bio ethanol is a flammable liquid and care must be used in handling and storage. We recommend you store fuel in original containers ensuring the cap is tightly sealed.  Store in a cool dry place away from open flames and somewhere not accessible by small children or animals.
